Privacy Policy

Verdant Vale LLC is a family-run shop. We sell sealed trading-card products and other collectibles, and original books (print and instant-download PDFs), through our website and through marketplaces like eBay, Walmart, TikTok Shop, Whatnot, and Etsy. We also make ValeSync, a tool that helps sellers keep their listings in sync across marketplaces.

This policy says what information we collect, why, who helps us handle it, and what choices you have. Short version: we collect what we need to sell you things, ship them, and support you. We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

What we collect

When you buy from our shop:

Your name and shipping address, so we can send your order.
Your email address, so we can send your order confirmation, tracking, and (for digital books) your download link.
What you bought, when, and for how much.
Payment is handled at checkout through Wix (see below). We do not see or store your full card number.

When you contact us:

Your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message, so we can answer you.

When you sign up for show or restock alerts by email:

Your email address and the alert topics you picked, so we can send you those alerts. Every alert email has an unsubscribe.

If you join the ValeSync founding list (our seller tool):

The name, email address, and store or business name you enter, so we can hold your place in line and reach you at launch.
That is all ValeSync collects through this site today. As of October 24, 2026, no ValeSync billing is live, we collect no card for it, and no marketplace account connection is switched on yet. When connections switch on for an account, this policy will be updated before that account is asked to connect.

When you use features on this site:

If you make an offer, ask a product question, or leave a review, we collect the name and email address on your shop account and what you write. Product questions and their answers, and reviews we approve, can appear on the product page with the name you gave.
If you use our Ask the Keeper chat, the messages you write are sent to Anthropic (see below) to generate the reply.

Automatically, when you visit our website:

Basic technical information your browser sends (like device type and pages visited) and cookies, described below.
We count visits using access logs kept on our own server. We run no third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not sell visitor data.
Our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font, Google receives the request (including your IP address and browser details), as with any web font loaded from a third-party host.

Why we use it

To process, pack, and ship your order, and to deliver digital downloads.
To answer your questions and fix problems with an order (for example, a damaged or wrong item; see our Returns policy).
To hold founding-list places for ValeSync and to contact members when enrollment opens.
To send the show and restock alert emails you signed up for.
To keep records we are required to keep for taxes and accounting.
To improve our shop and understand which products and books people enjoy.

We do not use your information for anything unrelated to running the shop and the services you signed up for.

Who helps us (processors)

We share only the information each service needs to do its part:

Wix runs store checkout, orders, and shop member accounts for verdantvale.org. This storefront itself is hosted by Verdant Vale, not by Wix.
eBay, Walmart, TikTok Shop, Whatnot, and Etsy are the marketplaces where we also sell; when you buy there, that marketplace collects your order information under its own privacy policy and shares with us what we need to ship your order.
USPS carries and tracks your packages; receives your name and shipping address.
Discord: our community lives on Discord, a separate platform we link to. We do not operate Discord; anything you do there is handled under Discord's own privacy policy.
Pinterest: we publish pins of our own products and books there; if you interact with our pins, Pinterest handles that activity under its own privacy policy.
Anthropic (Muse) powers our Ask the Keeper chat on this site. If you use the chat, your messages are processed by Anthropic to generate the reply. Do not put order numbers, payment details, or other sensitive information in the chat.
Google Fonts serves the typefaces on our pages, as described in the automatic collection section above.

These services have their own privacy policies, which govern how they handle information on their side.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for money or anything else. We share it only with the services listed above, to run the shop, or when the law requires it.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies, small files stored on your device, to make the store work: keeping items in your cart, remembering checkout details, and keeping shop member accounts signed in where applicable. Some cookies come from Wix, which runs checkout and shop member accounts. Our We count visits using access logs kept on our own server. We run no third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not sell visitor data. Vale Beacon, our own first-party measurement tool, sets a cookie from our own server to remember how you reached us, such as a link or an ad you clicked, and matches it to an order using a scrambled (hashed) form of the email you give us at checkout. We never store that email in plain form for tracking, we use no fingerprinting and no third-party tracking cookies, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals and opt-out choices.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The shop may not work as smoothly with cookies blocked (your cart, for one, may not hold).

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as needed for fulfillment, support, and our tax and accounting obligations, then deleted or archived per those obligations.
Messages you send us are kept while they're useful for supporting you and for our records.
Alert signup emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
ValeSync founding-list information is kept while enrollment is open; ask us and we will delete it, except records we must keep by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Ask what personal information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct it if it's wrong.
Ask us to delete it (with the exception of records we must keep by law, like tax records).
Ask for a copy of it.
Opt out of any marketing emails (we keep those rare, and every one has an unsubscribe).

To use any of these, contact us as described below. We'll respond within a reasonable time, and we won't charge you or treat you differently for asking.

Children

Our shop and ValeSync are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so plainly here.
