The Vale Arcade

Vale Brawl

Four duelists, one lantern-lit ring. Free to play, no purchase necessary.

← Back to the Vale Arcade

Under the branches of the Great Tree, the Vale settles its arguments the old way: in the ring, by lantern light. Choose your duelist. Bramble lights the path and swings a lantern staff, Sable is all thorn daggers and fast feet, Mossback hits like a falling tree, and Wren fights from the air itself. First to take two rounds wins the match, and every win brings a sharper rival to the ring.

How to play

  • Pick your duelist: press Enter or tap to reach the roster, then choose Bramble, Sable, Mossback, or Wren.
  • Rounds: best of three, 60 seconds a round. Empty the rival's health bar, or hold the bigger share of yours when the clock runs out.
  • Blocking: hold U or hold away from your rival. Blocked hits still cost a little chip damage, so do not hide behind it all round.
  • Specials: every duelist carries one. Bramble throws a Lantern Wave, Sable rushes with her thorns, Mossback slams the whole floor (jump it), and Wren rises in a spinning blade. Specials need a short breather between uses; watch the SP mark.
  • The ladder: win a match and continue, and the rival returns at a higher level, faster to react and quicker to block. Lose, and you can take the rematch.
  • Pause: P or Esc, or the pause button on the cabinet.

Playing never needs an account. When a match ends, you can post the result to the Vale Arcade board below the ring; your win streak itself lasts for this sitting only.
